As reported by the Councillor for Works, Ramiro Garcia, during the months of summer vacation is being carried out improvement works in various public schools in Jumilla.
In the CEIP "Our Lady of the Assumption" is enabling a space for physical therapy room.
This work is funded by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment as a result of a grant given to local councils to improve accessibility and removal of architectural barriers in schools.
In the CEIP "Prince Philip" the works being implemented include improving sanitation inside the enclosure as a result of their poor condition for the damage they have caused over the years the roots of the trees, next to the building Early Childhood Education.
In the CEIP "Mariano Suárez" is intended condition a kindergarten classroom to improve soil condition, requiring only bricklaying and carpentry, the latter consisting in the installation stage.
Last summer and were conditioned two kindergarten classrooms in the same center, is a clear example of collaboration between the AMPA and the city center of Jumilla to improve facilities.
The AMPA collaborates with the acquisition of materials and the City Council with staff to develop the necessary work to condition the soil and place the pallet.
In addition you will be making small improvements in almost all the schools, which together with those to be made during the course, are an important resource contribution by the City.
From the Department of Services has been working hard to cover the needs of schools, especially when you consider the current economic situation which requires City Council budget adjustments that bring the reality of income and expenses.
Jumilla centers have large gaps for the use and the years that have passed since they were built, and is the City Council which has responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of them, a responsibility that is not fully delineated, forcing the City Council to bear the costs that are not of their own.
