The Federation of Women of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Department of Equality of the City of Jumilla, will teach the workshop "Promoting Physical and Emotional Health in Women: from a gender perspective"
The workshop, financed by the Obra Social La Caixa, will be held on Wednesday, May 2, in Building Sociocultural Roque Banos in time from 17.00 to 19.00 hours.
The workshop is free and can hold up to 20 women, for which registration is required by the model can be downloaded from the municipal website or withdraw at the Department.
The Federation of Women of the Region of Murcia, a nonprofit organization composed of 40 women's associations and more than 12,000 associates.
It was created in 1995 to work for the promotion and development of women in the economic, occupational, psychosocial, legal and sociocultural.
The workshops organized by the Federation of Women of the Region of Murcia are aimed at women, considering that is a segment of the population particularly vulnerable in this area of ​​care of the physical and emotional health.
The main objectives of the workshops are:
Raise awareness of the constraints of gender in women's health.
Promote self-care of women psychophysical
Raise awareness of gender equality to raise awareness of the vital role of women in society.
Encourage women's associations.
The contents of the workshops will focus from a gender perspective where it is considered feminine and masculine as dimensions of cultural background.
Thus, gender is a key to understanding the society that seeks to discern and expose the cultural conditioning that oppress women and in turn, promotes efforts to liberate women from these constraints.
