This Saturday was held Miniferia wine in the unique setting of the Garden of King Don Pedro, to coincide, as every year, with the beginning of Holy Week.
For the opening of this act, it was attended by the President of CRDO Jumilla, Pedro Lencina, Mayor, Enrique Jimenez, and the Councillor for Agriculture, Paco Martinez.
All agreed to highlight the beneficial properties to health than is the wine and its consideration as food in the diet and the importance of consumption, subject to responsible consumption.
This year twenty participating wineries belonging to the DO Jumilla, which have made available a wide range of new products, and for a small fee of three euros, visitors had the opportunity to taste all the wines offered by these wineries from 12 to 15 hours.
The objective is achieved, no doubt, with this Miniferia, is to bring the wine to the final consumer, who are given the opportunity to try new wines to those without direct access, except on occasions like this .
This initiative of Jumilla CRDO manages to attract thousands of visitors each year, becoming more regular and frequent presence of young people who are interested in wine culture.
