Agreed upon by the General Assembly of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia held this morning in the capital of Murcia and has been assisted by the Minister of Presidency, Manuel Campos.
The Assembly agreed to the establishment of seven working committees, which began operating in 2012 and will ensure a more effective management of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
New commissions are local government funding, chaired by the Mayor of Cehegin, Jose Soria, Social Welfare, chaired by the mayor of Alhama, Alfonso Ceron, Agriculture, Water and Environment, chaired by the Mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo and Employment and Economic Development, chaired by the Mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez.
Also have formed the Education and Sports, chaired by the Mayor of San Javier, Juan Martinez, Culture and Tourism, chaired by the mayor of Lorquí, Joaquin Hernandez and Urban Planning, Housing and Mobility, chaired by the Mayor of Yecla, Mark Ortuño.
In addition, the board has approved the appointment of Mayor Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, as a member of the executive committee, replacing the recently deceased mayor of Yecla, Juan Miguel Benedito.
The Federation has addressed the urgent need to address once and for all the much demanded and adequate local funding, which must come from the new national government to respect its President and Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel House has declared that the main problem of the municipalities funding is now "low" and "inappropriate" for their services, especially in these times of crisis.
To which binds the strong Treasury and liquidity pressures caused by declining revenues and the slowing transfer of other administrations.
