The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, today reported that the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs has awarded prizes for "Best Cheese: 2011," in different categories and also the award for "Food of Spain Best Cheese: 2011, "the company Ampanera Luck, SL, Colmenar Viejo (Madrid).
González Tovar stressed that in the category "other cheese" has been awarded the Central Quesera Montesinos SL, Jumilla.
The aim of these awards is to reassess the work of professionals and organizations that one way or another involved in the food chain, as well as aspects of organic farming and environmental conservation.
They are also designed to promote and publicize native Spanish cheese, organic cheese and other cheeses that have a high organoleptic quality and encourage producers to develop and market these products.
