The Ministry of Universities, Business and Research, through the Directorate General of Industry, Energy and Mines, today confirmed internal security systems of the plant satellite HC LNG Energy in Jumilla, a simulacrum of an accident very consisting of the major break in a pipe that carries the liquid gas storage tanks, resulting in spillage and dispersion of flammable gas.
The Director General of Industry, Energy and Mines, José Francisco Puche, recalled that "the Region of Murcia is a national pioneer in the implementation of these drills and to adapt the rules of these industrial facilities, in order to prevent damage personal and material meeting the highest standards of safety and to respond to a claim, checking the operation of the Emergency Plan of the plant. During the simulation, the technicians found that the plant's facilities meet safety requirements and that those responsible for the company following the protocol in case of accident, leak detection, initial diagnosis, human resource mobilization and necessary materials, prevention of the explosion and subsequent stabilization and neutralization of the leak.

In the region there are seven satellite plants that supply natural gas to the towns of Jumilla, Bullas, Yecla, Caravaca de la Cruz, Calasparra, Mula and Cehegín.
As established by the regional decree 97/2000, of July 14, all plants regularly conduct drills and audits that control the proper functioning of the Emergency Plans of these industrial facilities.
