Yesterday was the Festival Charity 'By the hand x Lorca' which will take place on Friday June 10, from 19:00 pm in the Garden of King Don Pedro.
For the organization and development of this event have come together over thirty Jumilla groups and associations for the sole purpose of "raising funds to help Lorca after severe earthquakes in the city of Murcia."
All money will be channeled through the Red Cross Jumilla.
The presentation was given by Angeles Molina, president of the Association of Drums, Lola Thomas, president of ACOG, both on behalf of all groups, as well as Raúl Martínez of the Local Assembly of Red Cross and Civil Protection Urueña Guillermo.
Angeles Molina explained the development of the day.
Thus the 10th of June, starting at 19:00 pm and will carry out activities for children, with storytelling, drama, drumming performances, concert bands, performances by dance schools and Jumillano music groups.
To raise funds they will sell a 'sheet' at the price of two euros and also install a bar with drinks and food with proceeds going entirely to Lorca.

On the other hand, some of the groups involved has made cash donations for the cause, including the Association of Artisans of Jumilla has given to 1,000 euros.
These activities will join a charity concert to be held, on 16 July in the Paseo Poet Lorenzo Guardiola, Jumillano Association Friends of Music.
Angeles Molina and Lola Thomas Jumillano asked all to "be generous as the Lorca will be grateful for all that we can help them."
To get an idea of ​​the magnitude of the disaster both Raul and Guillermo made a comparative chilling "Lorca has more than 90,000 inhabitants and approximately 26,000 Jumilla, if we consider that the surface of the affected population in Lorca is 80%, mean and almost two and half times the total of Jumilla.
Raul Martinez explained the work that Red Cross is doing in Lorca from the time of the earthquake, as well as projects that are intended to perform.
He spoke of the actions undertaken in the early hours, with the mobilization of 24 ambulances, 3 aid stations, over 120 volunteers and teams of Murcia, Alicante, Almería, Málaga, Córdoba and Madrid, among other sources.
Also in the first 24 hours were collected 10,000 blankets and 6:30 am came twelve truckloads of food.
In a second phase was to strengthen the figure of 061, needs assessment and direct intervention with the work of nearly 300 people.
Also installed a temporary shelter and collaboration with other groups to provide housing to more people.
According to Raul Martinez's main role has been the Red Cross food distribution by the Military Emergency Unit.
Now working with psychosocial support units, reinforcing the camps and child population.
With regard to projects being considered, taking into account the priorities set out in the Bureau of solidarity actions are financial benefits for basic needs, continue to provide food, social inclusion projects and school system reinforcements and even the realization camp or summer school programs, family relief and special attention to young children.
For his part, William Urueña Civil Protection explained that the volunteers of this group are in place from the morning of May 15, initially worked in the census of affected people and then put in charge of logistical support, to the reception and aid classification.
This group is permanently supported by groups of Cehegín, Bullas, Tower Cotillas, Villanueva del Rio Segura, Segura Yecla and Molina, among others.
A civilian volunteers joined them in charge of performing classification work of aid and supplies to rations.
Members of both groups welcomed this initiative because there are still many needs, "there is much work to do and still emerging problems, unfortunately, will last a long time."
