A total of eight artists participated last Sunday in the Painting Contest Outdoor, organized by the People's University "Ana Thomas Smith" in Jumilla, which forms part of events commemorating the 25 anniversary of the People's University.
The site chosen for the competition was the Wetland Charco del Zorro, where participants chose landscapes, places and details of all the wetland and had the weather for, "which was more like a picnic than a competition," as indicated from the organization.
The painters were of different ages and attracted a large audience, who wanted to see live the competition and to make the day sunny.
The jury was chaired by the Councillor for Education and Women Fuensanta Olivares García, and as members Eduardo M.
Gea Martinez and Esteban Martínez Gil (Esmagi) and was secretary Emiliano Hernández Carrión.
We had difficult time deciding the winners, to the point, which was initially planned to only one prize and end the jury decided to award four $ 100 each, given the quality of work carried out over morning.
The winners were: Nuria Jiménez Olivares, Minerva López Herrero, Miguel Angel Lozano Martínez Tomás Jiménez and Lali.
The works of the winners remain the property of the People's University "Ana Thomas Smith", and will soon be hanging on their walls for observation of all.
