Roque Baños Sociocultural Centre was the venue this year for the awards ceremony of the XII Youth Art Competition organized every year by the Youth Council.
The event, presented by journalist José Abellán, attended by nearly a hundred people, among others, jurors and other council members of the corporation Jumillano.
The award categories were Literature, Music, Art and Photography.
Thus, the first prize in the literature in Class A, 12 to 17 years, went to Antonio José Ochoa with his work "An involuntary change," while in category B, 18 to 30 years the prize was not awarded.
Fine Arts, the first in the category went to Concha Ortuño for "Media Workshop", and Ana María Abellán was awarded in the other category for "Jazz."
Likewise, María José Jiménez Sánchez and purification were the first prizes in categories A and B with "Night Watch" and "Lisboa", respectively, while the leakage group achieved the same award Rap Music.
The awards were handed out around 3,000 euros in prize money.
In this issue there have been about 200 jobs across all modalities and the jury was composed by Maria Pla, Bartholomew Medina, María Dolores Pérez, Antonio Domínguez, José Javier Tomás, Juan Antonio Morcillo, Jesús Pascual Hernández and Antonio Abarca.
In his speech, Councillor for Youth José Luis Monreal recalled the goals it set when he assumed this responsibility, "provide spaces for young people, Art Young and enhance new programs, and give young people the opportunity to play in the town ".
Monreal added that "it was a pleasure working all these years Jumillano youth."
For its part, the deputy mayor Jesús Sánchez, congratulated both the winners and those who do not by their work and dedication, as well as families and educators of young people convey an interest in creating.
After the awards ceremony, held in bar-pub Buscón, a concert featuring the winning bands from the previous edition, minus the singer Lauh could not act.
