The Official Journal of the Region of Murcia (BORM) has published the tender notice the award of public works for the construction and operation of the new rubbish dump to be located in the Marble Range of Jumilla, as confirmed by Councilman Industry and Government team spokesman Jesus Sanchez, who has stated that "this announcement coincides with the sealing of old rubbish dump."
Sanchez added that "the deadline for submitting projects for end around March 9 and the granting of that work goes on around two million, expect to see several companies for the award of this new waste dump construction. "
On former landfill sites for construction of Jumilla and Yecla, recently the director general of Planning, Evaluation and Environmental Control, Francisco Espejo, accompanied by the spokesman Jesús Sánchez, other aldermen and several technicians, visited the site of recovery and adaptation site occupied by the landfill construction waste and demolition located in both municipalities which represent an investment of 431,800 euros (Yecla) and 299,400 euros (Jumilla) and already in its final phase.
According to reports from the region the work has involved the stabilization of the slopes of both landfills.
It also has built a network of ditches and drainage channels that facilitate the disposal of surface runoff, leading to natural drainage points of the terrain to avoid erosion.
It has also been conditioning and level the surface of the tray to prevent water accumulation and prevent their infiltration into the landfill.
The final phase is the material covering with clay loam and topsoil for tilling and planting with a mixture of herbaceous and shrub seeds.
In the proceedings Jumilla landfill cover an area of 30,600 square meters, with a volume of 50,800 meters of waste cubic displaced and a length of drainage system of 655 meters.
