Five specimens with different contents on the life and work of the painter Ramon Gaya Murcia will be sent by the Association Jumilla Templar, the penitentiary Zuera (Zaragoza), as reported in a press release.
This submission responds to the request of the inmate, the Colombian Edwin Arango Henao, who since 2006 active in the Phoenix Project Templar created by the association in order to encourage the study and practice of the visual arts among prisoners in prisons Spanish state, and make them known to as many people as possible, as a civil society input to the learning process and social reintegration of populations at risk of social exclusion, through the Secretariat General of Prisons (SGIP) develops in the areas of culture and training for the use of all Spanish prisons under its jurisdiction.
The specimens, which deal in depth various aspects of the work of this master of painting, have been donated by Ramón Gaya Museum located in Murcia city and are part of the baggage that has marked the centenary of the birth of the painter.
