On Friday, Socio Cultural Center Roque Baños, took delivery of the Prize II Recognition of Labor Solidarity organized by the Department of Social Policy of the City.

This year the awards have been in the groups section of the Association of Physically Handicapped Jumilla (AMFIJU) and individuals to Ana Cahigüela, a volunteer at the Association of Recovered Alcoholics.

The event, hosted by Angela Guardiola and Mari Carmen Pérez, began with a brief introduction of Technical Services Yolanda Abellán which highlighted the importance of the solidarity in society.

After Paqui Ruiz was responsible for carrying out the portrait of Ana Cahigüela, which highlighted many values but above all 'that is a great person. "

For its part, Vicente Martínez Amfiju made the semblance of doing a tour of the history of this partnership that began in 1990 and whose purpose is to "promote the development of the physically disabled and organic in Jumilla, trying to get a decent quality of life creating a social awareness of its problems. "

The councilman of Social Policy Mariana Gómez took delivery of the awards.

Both winners thanked the distinction.

For its part, Mariana Gomez began by thanking the cooperation of the maintainers of the act and also noted that "it is a simple and almost familiar act as virtually all of you here and you work you collaborate with the Department to carry out numerous activities that are a reality. "

Gomez also said this act is included in the Participation and Inclusion and within it the Volunteer Program.

The councilman noted that this award is to recognize individuals and institutions that do "because they want to give to others and participate in the plight of others for, together, make society more fair and balanced."

She also appreciated that the winners of this year "has been a very wise decision, we are used to tell us what we fail and errors, but harder for us to recognize the things we are doing well and that is the goal of this initiative" .

Finally, Mariana Gomez said that "it is necessary to have these people and groups, since the administration does not reach all and requires the collaboration and this work"

This award comes as the City of Jumilla is aware of the importance of voluntary movements at the social level, as a means of boosting our resources, especially humans, with the aim of achieving a fairer society and the prevailing values of solidarity , integration and respect.

Voluntary movements are necessary partners of the administration, coming where it can not reach and always being next to the groups that need more support.
