Yesterday afternoon, the Councillor for Education Fuensanta Olivares, and who was responsible for the VHS Ana Tomás Herrero, Emiliano Hernández, inaugurated the exhibition "The useful plants" that can be seen in the classroom culture to CAM On 26th November.

In the exhibit shows more than a hundred plants which have or have had a utility in the daily life of humanity, such as vegetables, fiber, herbal, and medicinal plants.

The large sample of these useful plants, amazes the visitor once he appreciates the many plants that mankind has used throughout his life.

As indicated by the charge of Education "with this exhibition we want to show the utility of the plants that we have close and in our daily environment, found in the Mediterranean area."

Fuensanta Olivares added that "it is quite interesting to come and train with what he has to do with the plant world and Nature."

Olivares thanked the People's University of Albacete for providing this exhibit, and the CAM to allow room to mount it on their premises.

For his part, Hernandez said that this activity is to emphasize a fundamental mission of universities popular and it's back to find the man with nature.

"The man has lived what produces the natural environment, but we have been giving back, in fact today our children know and distinguish the model of seeing a car pass, but when they go to the mountain can not distinguish a rosemary of a screw, "he said and added that this exhibition can be viewed products made from plants, for example, the Zotal, made with juniper, or that there are cough syrups which are natural products, essences, perfumes and makeup made with natural elements, "said Emiliano Hernández.

The exhibition was created and staged by the People's University of Albacete, and its display in Jumilla, is the result of a collaboration between UU PP, on the occasion of 25 anniversary of the People's University of Jumilla.

In this anniversary, the activities of November this fall under the banner of "People's University and Nature" and supplemented with a lecture on "Useful Plants" which will give the professor of Botany at Albacete, Jose Fajardo, an expert flora and fauna of Jumilla.

The conference will be the 26th November at the Social Cultural Center "Roque Baños", at 20:00 hours.
