The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, today visited the residence of the Association of Parents of disabled children Jumillano (ASPAJUNIDE) and Day Centre, which joins other facilities such as the Early Childhood Center and Occupational Health Care center, also belonging to this association that has received funding in 2010 of EUR 1,522,398 from the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS).
Currently serving in their centers ASPAJUNIDE users around the town of Jumilla, with ages between 0 and 55 years and a degree of disability varied, mainly psychological.
Residence for the Integrated Day Center, with 58 squares arranged by the IMAS and hosts of permanently mentally disabled Particular care by providing a way of life as independent as possible and addressing their housing needs, leisure .
Early Childhood Center serves 75 users who have developmental disorders or are at risk of suffering, and Occupational Center, with 60 users, provides service to those people whose level of disability are not yet ready to access a paid employment.
Ballroom Dance Competition
After visiting the residence and the Day Centre, the Minister, accompanied by the managing director of IMAS, Isabel Sola, went to the hamlet Jumillano Santa Ana del Monte, where he attended the exhibition of the winners of the Ballroom Dance XV Certamen Cultural and Sports partner of IMAS, and presided over the awards ceremony in its various forms.
