The president of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), Charo Quesada, and the Mayor of Jumilla, Francisco Abellán, today visited the Charco del Zorro, which the Government of Spain through the basin organization, has completed the works of environmental restoration of the environment of this area.
The work consisted in conditioning the place known as El Charco del Zorro, since by its geographical characteristics, as well as the convergence of two streams with permanent flow is used to enable the area to use and enjoyment of people due to its proximity to town of Jumilla.
The works have included the demolition of part of a dam that retained the water causing decomposition with attendant odors, as well as enable an access road on the left bank, which allows the increased area of leisure.
In addition, the CHS has restored an old pool that collects water from the waterfall and back to bed and in turn, has been cleaned up tree vegetation in the area cataloging existing elms and giving the area footpaths, street furniture and security elements (rails).
