Next Wednesday's visit on 15 Jumilla a group of geologists from all over Europe, belonging to the Working Group ProGEO Southwest Region of Europe, which is included within the specific symposium of the International Conference on Geoeventos, Heritage and Geological Work of IGCP, to be held in Caravaca de la Cruz from 15 to 18 September.
In this congress has been organized this visit to the city by day 15, with the goal of understanding the geological heritage of our municipality, visiting Celia Mine, Sierra de las Cabras, the Hoya de la Sima and Municipal Museum of Ethnography and Natural Sciences.
Teachers attending various European nationalities, Russians, Poles, French, English, Italian, German, etc.
Among them is the president of the Geological Heritage Commission of Spain and the heads of the Geological Heritage in France and Portugal.
It is making a publication in English and Spanish on the route to the sites to visit.
The City of Jumilla is listed as a collaborator of Congress and members of the Museum are included in the Scientific Committee of the same.
It is a unique event, it is the first time in Spain meets the Working Group ProGEO Southwestern Europe, which included Italy, France, Spain and Portugal, so it is of great interest to Jumilla, the poderles show geological and paleontological heritage of our town.
