On Monday the Mayor of Jumilla, Juan Francisco Abellán accompanied by Antonio Soler and Antonio Soriano, officers and directors of Telecable Jumilla, a company that manages the local radio station were responsible for inaugurating the new premises of Radio Jumilla, located in the Centro Cultural Partner Roque Baños.
The ceremony was also attended by Jesus Sanchez and Enrique Jimenez, spokesman of the PSOE and PP, respectively, and the Municipal Councillor of the Issuer, Yolanda Fernandez and other council members and representatives of groups.
The local radio station was located earlier in the offices of the House of Culture and now broadcasts from the first floor of Sociocultural Centre Roque Baños.
From Telecable, Juan Antonio Soler was responsible for welcoming the new facility and recalled the history of a station with decades of history, among which includes stopping the broadcast.
For his part, Francisco Abellán said, "This radio had several shortcomings and thus have created the new facility."
It also invited "all citizens and groups to participate in the municipal radio and say what you want, all in order and rules of the council in charge of Radio," said the mayor.
Abellán said "Telecable Jumilla has done a good job in the years to share the management of the station with the City."
