The Councilor of Celebrations, Pilar Martínez, presented this morning the Carnival 2018, which will be held from 9 to 13 February in collaboration with the AAVV Calle del Calvario, the Inestables Group and the Hypnos, Friends of Jumilla and Rural Women of the Pine Fountain
The program of activities begins on Friday 9 at 8 pm with the performance of the chirigota of the Rural Women of the Fuente del Pino in the Vico Theater.
Saturday 10 will be the big day of the festivities with the celebration from 17.30 hours of the Carnival Parade, in which more than twenty collectives will take part.
You will depart from Cánovas (corner of Pósito) and you will reach Calvario street by Canónigo Lozano.
At the end, the prizes will be awarded on the stage at the end of Calvario.
The Drag Queen Gala, which reaches its third edition, is once again one of the attractions of the program.
It will be held on Saturday 10 at 10.30 pm at the Mercado de Abastos and will be enlivened by the Inestables Group.
It will be presented by Jesús Costa, president of the collective 'No te prives' and will feature the performance of Victoria Addams Monroe.
There will be drag queen contest with first prize of 200 euros and dinner at Loreto Restaurant, second prize of 120 euros and third of 50 euros with two tickets for Funambulista.
There will be a local prize of 120 euros, which will also include two tickets for the Funambulista performance to be held at the Teatro Vico.
Registration must be made through the mail festejos@jumilla.org or the day of the gala.
After the same will continue the Fesodromo with disjey Juanjo Martinez.

On Sunday there will be street parades on Calvario street from 17.30.
From 8:00 pm, the Vico Theater will host 'The Carnival returns to the Theater' with representations of carnival soflamas by the Hypnos and Friends of Jumilla associations.
The tickets, which go on sale today, have a price of 6, 5 and 4 euros.
The activities will be closed on Tuesday with parades and children's entertainment on Calle del Calvario.
