The January plenary held last night approved a proposal of IU-LV and with the positive votes of PSOE, IU-LV and the council not attached, as well as with the abstention of the PP, to study whether the pedestrianization of Canovas street between Glorieta and Avenida de la Asunción can be made and, if so, the proposals and opinions of the citizens are collected.
If there is a favorable opinion in that consultation, the reform of this section will be carried out.
It was also agreed to change the name of the municipal soccer field La Hoya to Uva Monastrell.
The proposal was presented by the non-attached councilor Benito Santos and proposed the change of name to the entire Sports Center and the replacement of the posters, but with a substitution amendment of the PSOE approved the name change to only the field of natural grass.
The PP voted against and IU-LV abstained.
Likewise, the proposal of the non-attached councilor to request the Regional Government to implement the Shadow Plan in public schools and specifically cover the areas of the north courtyard of CEIP Miguel Hernández before the month of May was approved.
A response from the Ministry of Education will be requested and, if this is not the case, the City will assume its own resources and the facilities of the rest of the centers will be reviewed to assess the need to incorporate shading systems.
This proposal counted on the abstention of IU-LV.
On the other hand, it was agreed to the proposal of the PP, the adhesion of the City of Jumilla to the commemorative acts being proposed by the Cortes Generales for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Constitution.
An amendment of the non-attached councilor was included, adding that the activities were programmed counting with all the educational centers, seeking the maximum participation of the population.
The motion of the PP also went ahead with 10 positive votes and 11 abstentions for which the City Council will have to prepare activities for the dissemination and promotion of Vocational Training and continue to demand the diversification and expansion of the offer in the municipality.
There was unanimity to approve the amendment of IU-LV which will urge the Ministry and the Ministry of Education to increase the aforementioned offer of training in the municipality.
It was rejected with the negative votes of the PSOE and the abstentions of PP and the council not attached the motion of IU-LV that proposed to relocate the associations that occupy loaned premises or recover buildings to enable contiguous premises in forming a youth center for associations.
He also realized the resolutions of the Mayor's office, of delegated councilors, judicial resolutions, the extension of credits number 1/2017 and the modification of representatives in informative commissions and delegated bodies of IU-LV.
At the end of the plenary, a merchant intervened, showing his disagreement with the pedestrianization of Cánovas street.
