Before the leaks that appeared on Sunday in the three sports halls of the town that led to suspension of different meetings, the Councilor for Sports, Juan Manuel García, appeared today before the media to give details of the latest revisions that have been made of the roofs of these facilities.
According to the mayor of the area, the existing leaks in the Carlos García Municipal Pavilion were repaired last Christmas, those of the Miguel Hernández runway last April, while those of San Francisco were reviewed before its reopening just over one month.
"However, it was many liters of water that fell during the night of Saturday and new leaks appeared, that we are already working to correct the deficiencies, in the case of Miguel Hernández, the water entered through the lateral opening and not for the cover. "
Likewise, Juan Manuel García has indicated that work is being done on a facility maintenance plan.
"Unfortunately we found the facilities very bad, since they did not have the proper care for years," he said.
As for the suspension of the Second B Futsal match, the Sports Councilor pointed out that different alternatives were presented such as playing in the afternoon or traveling to Yecla, but the first one was discarded and the second one could not be carried out. because it also had leaks.
The coordinator of the Futsal Committee, Luciano Herreno, offered the Roldán Pavilion, but neither was this option effective.
