Izquierda Unida-Verdes presented a motion in February 2016 on citizen awareness measures to prevent animal depositions in the streets and one of the points was the realization of spaces for pipican areas.
The motion was approved in full by 9 votes in favor of IU and PP and with the abstention of PSOE.
This municipal group considers that enough time has passed to have addressed this issue and to have carried out a study to know the areas in which it would be possible to install some Pipican enclosures that would not also be of high cost since the space allocated only needs a fence.
IU-Greens has asked many times in Plenary and has even registered a letter requesting that the approved proposal be accepted and carried out, but there has been no reply in plenary or in writing.
In view of this situation, Izquierda Unida has made a request to the Mayor to carry out the motion, to comply with the full agreement and, on the one hand, to comply with the demands of the citizens of Jumilla.
