Jumilla has increased the number of visitors to the municipality.
The statistics of 2017 show a clear increase in tourists in all the cultural resources of the city, as well as the number of users in groups that have moved to the municipality.
According to data from the Tourism Office, national visitors come mostly from the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community.
Foreigners account for 16% of the total and come mainly from the United Kingdom.
The main reason for the visit to the municipality has been cultural and wine tourism, followed by the holidays.
It highlights especially the increase of the people who have passed through the ethnography and archeology sections of the Jerónimo Molina Museum.
The first of these has increased from 7,905 in 2016 to 10,218 visits during 2017, while the second from 2,627 to 4,289.
To them we must add the 6,500 visits to the future Wine Museum to enjoy during the last three months of the year the temporary exhibition 'Imago Passionis'.
This year, as a novelty, the City Council has opened to visitors on weekends, with almost 1,700 visits since May.

The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, directly responsible for the area of tourism, stresses that "tourism promotion is undoubtedly a necessary investment to boost this activity that affects the sectors linked to tourism in our municipality."
On the other hand, and also from the Tourism area, 9 Free Guided Tours (VGG) have been organized to different places of interest, with official tourism guide and with the option of making reservations on the Murcia Tourist portal within the VGG program .
