Jumilla will be one of the venues of the 2018 edition of the activities of the Week of Prevention of the Consortium for the Extinction of Fire and Rescue of the Region of Murcia (CEIS).
It will be held from 22 to 26 January and aims to move the population, especially the youngest and the oldest, through talks and demonstrations, knowledge for fire prevention and advice on how to act in case of produzcan.La presentation of activities will be held in Murcia on Monday 15, both those that will be made in Jumilla and those of Mazarrón, the other municipality in the region that will host.
Talks have been prepared on school and home self-protection in all the schools of the municipality, which will take place from Monday 22 to Thursday 25. In all of them guides adapted to different ages will be delivered, both in Spanish and English.
On Wednesday 24, there will also be two talks: one in the morning (11.00 am) at the Day Center of the Imas (Paseo Lorenzo Guardiola) aimed at seniors;
and another in the afternoon (7.30pm), at the Roque Baños Cultural Center, about self-protection at home, in neighborhood communities and small businesses, open to the public.
In addition to the talks at the schools, on Thursday at 11.00 a emergency and evacuation drill is planned in a community of neighbors of the town.
On Friday morning, from 9.30 am, the Park of Prevention will be placed on the Paseo Lorenzo Guardiola with the assistance of students from the schools.
There will be an inflatable smoke house and recreational activities with recommendations to follow in case of fire.
The closing of the week is scheduled for that same day at 13.30 in the Prevention Park itself.
