The Vico Theater welcomed yesterday the Hypnos Awards 2017, the highest institutional award granted by the City of Jumilla and that recognized the work and dedication in seven different categories.
The Sports Work Award, awarded to the Mountain Bike Race San Antón, was the first to be awarded.
He was picked up by the current president of the AAVV of the San Antón neighborhood, Miguel Pérez, who recalled "all the neighbors of the association who are no longer there and who would surely like to share this moment".
He invited Juan Francisco Amante on stage, "for the fundamental work done by the test."
Miguel García Guardiola received the Prize for Cultural Work, which dedicated recognition to his family and to all the people who "directly or indirectly" have participated in the activities he has developed.
"The progress of our people depends on the education received and the proper transmission of values," he said.
The Hypnos Business Development Award went to Burruezo Alimentación through brothers Fernando and Javier Burruezo, who remembered their father, their other four brothers, their mother, as well as the history of the company since its inception and all the effort made to get where they are, ensuring that "I would never have imagined receiving this recognition".
Salvador Bernabéu picked up the Hypnos Ambassador of Jumilla Prize.
"Being an ambassador of Jumilla entails the encounter with other peoples At each stage of this long journey, which has already reached 50 years, I have taken Jumilla as a reference of values, of teachings and also of refuge, I have taken my 'matria' by flag, "he said.
The Hypnos Equality Award went to Ana María Albert, who received the emotional recognition, highlighting that it is her family and friends that give her "motivation every day to fulfill her objectives, an award that recognizes the values ​​of our associations and of our Jumilla, for me the biggest thing ".
The president of the Federation of Peñas, Francisco Javier Vázquez, received the Hypnos Defense of Human Values ​​Prize for the launch of the campaign 'He is in our blood', which highlighted that "he was born to generate help, to save lives, to raise awareness among young people, to motivate them to donate blood and become marrow donors ".
Finally, the Special Mention 2017 was delivered for the XXX National Meeting of Brotherhoods held in Jumilla last September.
Juan Francisco Martínez, president of the Central Board of Brotherhoods of Holy Week was in charge of collecting it.
"This award is the result of the joint work of many brothers and Nazarenes who have worked both in the preparation and in the development of the Encounter," he said.
The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, closed the event recognizing the contribution to the municipality of the winners: "With people like the award-winning Hypnos, Jumilla is and will be better and better."
"My congratulations to everyone for making Jumilla what it is, a municipality with friendly and creative people, sports lovers, a solidary municipality, whose people we are proud of where we go and who is committed to equality," he added.
The musical note of the act was given by the pianist Fran Lucas and the soprano Isabel Cánovas, professors of the Conservatory of Music of Jumilla.
