During 2017, including 2016 and 6 or 7 years ago, all of which lasts the crisis, the municipalities are tied up by the central government, before the PSOE and now the PP.
In summary, the City Council of the PSOE exercises a continuist policy that is partly obligatory and lacks the will to change and improve the citizens of Jumilla.
The budgets of 2017 have been marked by the lack of investment with social profitability (policies that give work or generate wealth in the municipality) and by the increase in expenses in events and increase of subsidies for parties and issues with lower social returns.
Investments called "financially sustainable" that come from the excess of taxes that Jumillans now support due to state taxes and municipal government, go to works that may be necessary but that would have to be derived to works with social profitability, made by local companies and with a significant percentage of local labor: Lighting changes, asphalted and the like, however necessary, barely leave 2 to 8 euros in wages for every 100 euros that are spent.
Soon the citizens, no matter how good the streets and areas are, will see that few Jumillans will have been able to work in them and for a short time.
The economic situation does not move towards the elimination of inequalities but on the contrary, having work no longer guarantees being excluded from situations of poverty and municipalities are now service management tools and not the economic drivers that could be of not having PP policies that focus only on paying debts and that have been supported in Europe and Spain by the PSOE since the Constitution was modified in the famous article 135.
Our training has always opted for each increase in subsidy, investment and spending to have social, economic and labor profitability in Jumilla.
The crisis has not passed and there is a great risk of it worsening in our municipality and in the Region in agricultural and industrial sectors.
The initiatives of IU-Greens in Jumilla have been more ambitious and relevant than those of the PP and the PSOE, such as the proposals for the municipality to be free of the trafficking of girls and women, which has an ordinance so that important electricity lines pay and that social and environmental criteria are included in administrative contracting.
Our bet is earlier, clearer and more resounding than that of the PSOE with regard to funding and the freedom of the municipalities against the impositions of the state.
Other IU-Green initiatives with relevance have been to pay tribute to deported Jumillans, to set up a platform for popular votes, the proposal to reduce the waste bill that has made local government impossible, as well as others that are approved and that we hope to be a reality in the future as the recovery of the Wi-Fi service.
IU-Green bet in its day for participatory budgets and that bet is much more relevant than the PSOE, if we were to govern would be all the investments decided by Jumillano and not the insufficient amount allocated by the local government.
A very negative point and increasingly is the outsourcing, privatizations and administrative contracts for long periods, by increasing amounts and increasing.
There is a lack of will to find solutions for municipal officials to recover tasks, that companies do not increasingly make employment more precarious and worsen the provision of the service, since they are limited only to providing labor and managing the taxes they must pay .
In this legislature the percentage of privatizations has already increased by 20% and continues to increase with the contracts in tender.
The PP unable to take their mistakes is dedicated to using the greatest possible demagoguery criticizing what they did before (increase privatizations, job insecurity) work in front of the gallery but not to solve any problem and total lack of self-criticism to their nefarious previous management.
IU-Greens believes that they have little credibility to criticize what they did in the same way or worse than the current government.
