The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the president of the Wine Route Association, Sebastián García, have signed the collaboration agreement between the City Council and the association for which it receives the grant of 12,000 euros scheduled in the General Budget 2017 The head of the Tourism Department, Ángel Pérez, was also present.
Through this agreement the City Council collaborates in the realization of tourist, cultural, gastronomic, promotional activities, exhibitions and everything that has to do with wine tourism and the tourist and cultural promotion of the city of Jumilla, strengthening the Wine Route of Jumilla
The mayor, Juana Guardiola, said that "as soon as the 2016 agreement has been justified and the documentation for the 2017 agreement has been submitted, the same has been processed".
He also stressed "the absolute provision of the City Council to the route from the first day, as we are a fundamental part of the development of tourism in the municipality."
For its part, the president of the Ruta del Vino de Jumilla, Sebastián García, has shown his "commitment to continue strengthening and betting on wine tourism in Jumilla."
In addition to the subsidy, the City Council provides a location as social headquarters, advice and supervision of companies that request to be part of the association, data collection for the tourist observatory of Turespaña, supervision and maintenance of the integrated heritage in the municipal tourist points and Directional signage of the different components of the Wine Route, as well as support in external authorship.
Likewise, the technical support of the staff of the Tourism Office has been made available, which has been reinforced this year with a new person and soon another will be added for six months to strengthen social networks.
