The October plenary session held last night unanimously approved the recovery of the free Wi-Fi service 'Jumilla Conecta', through a motion presented by IU-LV.
It will allow access to the internet for all citizens in different places and public buildings of the municipality.
It was also unanimously approved, at the proposal of the PP, that municipal technical services prepare a technical report on the reasons that are causing the frequent blackouts in public lighting in some streets of the town.
This report will provide the appropriate solutions that allow the planning of the actions to be carried out to avoid them.
Likewise, the agreement to the motion of IU-LV was unanimous to request reports on the convenience of converting the tariff of the water supply service at a rate.
The procedure to modify the Drinking Water Supply Regulation of Jumilla will be initiated, updating itself in what refers to the cut of supply with the obligation of having the Social Services reports before each cut, as well as modifying other technical issues of the aforementioned regulation.
It was also agreed, at the proposal of the PP, that the City of Jumilla express its support and unconditional support to the National Police and Civil Guard in their work of defense and protection of rights and freedoms of all citizens.
It condemns the systematic harassment to which its members are being subjected through violent acts, rejecting any antidemocratic behavior.
Likewise, the City Council will urge the Spanish institutions as a whole to use all the mechanisms in defense of the sovereignty of the Spanish people, as well as to act against initiatives that seek, from the point of view of illegality, to violate the constitutional framework and the unity of Spain.
Through an amendment of addition, the Government of Spain will be urged to gradually resolve the compensation imbalances that may exist between the different forces and security forces of the state.
Both the motion and the amendment went forward with the positive vote of PSOE and PP and with the abstention of IU-LV.
There was also unanimity to approve the Municipal Electronic Administration Ordinance definitively, adding the guarantee so that people with disabilities or with special difficulties can access the information through electronic means following the criteria and standards generally recognized in the regulations valid.
In the plenary session last night, the resolutions of the mayor's office and delegated councilors, as well as the judicial resolutions and the treasury report on delinquency corresponding to the third quarter of 2017, were also reported. The Intervention report on the average period of payment to suppliers of this same period, which is 13.53 days, so that it complies with what is legally envisaged.
Finally, in urgent matters, it was approved unanimously the secondment of the Transfer Station of the City of Jumilla to the Solid Waste Consortium of the Region of Murcia.
