The Youth Department has organized for next Thursday November 2 a conference in which will be present Ignacio Dean, the first Spanish to go around the world on foot.
He will tell his experience in the Sala Los Gavilanes of the Cultural Center Roque Baños from 20 hours with free admission to complete capacity.
He is a Málaga who for three years covered four continents, 31 countries and 33,000 kilometers on foot.
Nacho Dean started this project driven by his eagerness to travel the globe as a free soul and by the "need to launch an environmental message, a message of care of nature and planet earth."
From this adventure the book "Libre y salvaje" was born, in which he recounts the challenge he undertook alone, without assistance and without any sponsor to finance the trip.
Dean left Madrid in March 2013 and toured Europe, entered Asia through Turkey, walked to Singapore, crossed Australia and flew to Chile, from where he followed the American coast to New York, to undertake the return that ended last year.
He got to walk up to 85 kilometers in a day, although the average was 45, and slept most nights in a tent that he carried in a cart where he carried his meager luggage: two changes, a camera, a telephone and some food.
