From the Family Program of the Department of Social Policy of the City of Jumilla has launched a workshop on socio-educational intervention directed at children at risk, taught in schools San Francisco and Our Lady of La Asunción.
It is aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 10, whose families are users of the Social Services Center and also derived by the Psychopedagogical Orientation Team that works with the families in the different schools of the locality.
Derived cases are those in which a need for support has been detected in one or more areas in relation to minors.
The contents are school support, study techniques, social skills workshops, health and healthy habits, reinforcement of the role of the family, leisure and leisure workshops, craft workshops, games and sports.
The workshop began on October 2 and will be extended until March 30, 2018. It is being carried out by the company Local Initiatives under the supervision of the techniques of the Family Program of the Social Services center.
It aims to act at a preventive level from early childhood to preadolescence.
This workshop is launched through a grant to municipalities and associations of Social Services of the Region of Murcia of the Ministry of Family and Equality for the development of actions to support the family and children.
