The City of Jumilla has destined for this year 2017 more than 220,000 euros to fight against social exclusion in the locality through services generating employment and economic benefits to needy families.
We also work through different training and care programs from the Social Services Center in the area of ​​poverty eradication, which is celebrating its international day.
Through the Social Work Program, which dedicates 100,000 euros, ten people are hired at risk of exclusion for a period of six months, to which must be added two other people in treatment of toxic addiction through the Program Heliotropos, with a cost of 10,500 euros.
In addition, 52,497 euros have been allocated during the year in economic benefits to needy families at risk or social exclusion, with more than 100,000 euros expected to be completed by the end of 2017. At the same time, another 120 urgent economic benefits, which amounted to another 9,000 euros.
Through the Social Work Units Attention service to people or families at risk or social exclusion, 35 families are continuously involved in the provision of basic income through the CARM.
With the Accompaniment for Inclusion Program, 50 cases of exclusion have been worked up to date, with personalized itineraries being carried out with each one.
In addition, services are provided to NGOs for the training and employment of people at risk of social exclusion.
This year there have been 50 accreditations of young people from 16 to 30 years of the Nazaret Program and 60 others to adults over 30 years of age through the Red Cross Employability Program.
