The September plenary session held last night approved an extraordinary credit and a credit supplement for the application of the budget surplus from the Treasury balance for a total of 2,391,278.55 euros, which will carry out a total of 15 sustainable investments .
It was approved with the positive vote of the PSOE and the abstention of PP and IU-LV.
Remodeling Libertad Avenue and square trucker
An integral remodeling of the Avenida de la Libertad and the plaza of the truck driver Juan Soriano will be carried out.
The intersection will be transformed into a roundabout, so that there will be no match, traffic lights can be eliminated and there will be enough space for the truck to turn without danger to the bike lane, which will continue on Calle Goya.
As for the avenue, the median will be made with printed cement, respecting the palms, the pavements will be reformed, the urban furniture will be completed and even a rest area will be created next to the Courts.
Also, children's games will be placed for different ages, as well as biosaludables games.
Both works are budgeted at 769,301.69 euros, assuming the most expensive investment of all approved.
Asphalt Plan and underground containers
300,000 euros will be destined to an Asphalt Plan that will involve the arrangement of different complete stretches in the streets Hernando de Nuño, Jacinto Benavente, Prince Felipe, Cervantes, Canónigo Lozano, Irene López Heredia, avenue of La Esperanza and the east side of the Lorenzo Walk Guardiola, which will widen by one meter as the hedges move.
In addition, new underground containers will be placed in Luis de Góngora and Fueros streets, in this case with a cost of 49,100.11 euros.
180,000 euros to renovate plazas and gardens
Among the projects, the remodeling of the San Juan, Manuel Azaña and El Arsenal public gardens, with an investment of 99,999.99 euros in the first two and 79,864.65 euros in the third, also stands out.
The Arsenal will become the first natural children's garden in the Region of Murcia.
The one of San Juan will count on an integral reform of its ornamental source, with more space, turf and elimination of pointed stones.
Manuel Azaña will win in lighting and in green areas.
New lighting for the soccer fields and tracks of La Hoya
The football fields and the different slopes of the Sports Center La Hoya will have new led lighting, which joins the lighting of the common areas that was placed in this facility months ago.
In addition, the lighting of the El Alpicoz Social Center and the Cerro del Castillo Industrial Estate will be renewed, as well as the laying of electricity lines up to this same polygon.
The electrical installation of the Social Center of the Torre del Rico will also be adapted.
The investment in lighting will be 616,068.80 euros, which is more than 200,000 euros more than last year.
Road conditioning
With this extraordinary loan, the works of conditioning of the roads of Alicante and Román, both of great transit, can be carried out, with an investment that will exceed 130,000 euros, which joins the amount that already came in the regular budget.
Electronic Procedures
Finally, this remainder will allow the implementation of the platform for electronic processing of files, whose budget is 278,300 euros, once a large part of the computer equipment of the City Council has already been renovated.
