The Department of Environment of the City of Jumilla will participate this year in the European Week of Mobility that is celebrated from 2000 from 16 to 22 September with the aim of modifying our way of moving around the city.
The campaign was presented this morning by the councilor of the area, Juan Gil, and the head of the Environment, Victoria Martinez, under the motto 'Share takes you further'.
Citizens are proposed to take photographs on the bike lanes of the municipality or in front of some of the mupis that will have installed the campaign announcement.
Then they must share this photo using the hashtag # SemanaMovilidadJumilla2017 on Twitter and Facebook, tagging the official Twitter or Facebook account of the City Council or Facebook of the Department of Environment.
All those who have participated will have to go on the 1st of October at 11.00 hours by bicycle to the bike lane of Avenida de la Libertad.
Next to the side door of the Sports Center will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a number with which they will enter the raffle of a mountain bike.
There will also be a small route along the bike path of Avenida de la Libertad and Ronda Poniente.
Each person can participate in the campaign with a photograph within the dates of the contest and always according to the theme of this.
According to Juan Gil, the campaign "is aimed at raising awareness among policymakers and citizens about the negative consequences of the car's irrational use in the city, both for public health and for the environment, and the benefits of using more sustainable modes of transport such as public transport, cycling and walking.
