This week the hourly extension service at the Nuestra Señora de la Asunción College has been launched to support the reconciliation of work and private life.
This is a project of the Council of Social Policy and Equality of the City of Jumilla, which is being carried out through a grant of 9,800 euros from the Ministry of Family and Equality and co-financed by the European Social Fund.
A classroom has been set up so that from 7 am to 9 am (entering school) and from 1 pm to 3:30 pm (in September) and from 2 pm to 3:30 pm during the remaining months, minors can remain in the school, attended by specialized personnel to cover all their optimal needs.
There is a dining service, but to make use of it, families have to bring the meals prepared from their homes.
The schedule is flexible, within the established ranges, depending on the needs of families.
The Councilor for Equality, Salvi Pérez, yesterday visited the classroom in which the service is being developed and recalled some of the requirements of the same: "It can be used by children whose ages have to be included in those corresponding to Primary Education and Early Childhood Education (3 to 12 years). At the moment there are 23 seats that have been occupied, so they are still free until the maximum number of seats established at 35. Applications must be made at the General Register of the City and it is imperative that parents are working or in training period ".
Meanwhile, Ana José Carrión, director of the center, said: "We are very happy with the implementation of this service, since it was a demand that our families demand and has been able to be realized thanks to the help of the We have conditioned everything so that the students are as comfortable as possible. "
