During the ten days of the Fair and Festivals 2017, Jumilla has generated 100,000 kilos more of garbage than in a similar period of time during the rest of the year, according to data provided by the Councilor for Services, Francisco González.
This supposes 10,000 kilos more than usual during each day, reason why to maintain the cleaning in the city had to double all the shifts of work.
In addition, an overnight pick-up with two trucks and two sweepers was carried out on the nightly waste collection route, which focused on the areas with the highest traffic.
The cleaning and washing of streets, as well as the fairground and adjacent plots, ended Wednesday.
To carry out this work, the City of Jumilla has had 19 more workers, who have joined the usual workforce.
