This week work has begun on renovating infrastructures on Infante Don Fadrique Street, specifically those on the stretch between El Casón Avenue and Don Pedro Jiménez Street.
Being one of the main roads of the Barrio de San Antón has been separated into two phases with the aim of not collapsing traffic during them.
The work consists of the integral renovation of the road, sidewalks and networks of drinking water and sanitation, as well as construction of rainwater network.
After completion, the street will meet two basic objectives: accessibility and functional design.
The sidewalks will be cleared until reaching 1.5 meters with non-slip pavement.
There will be litter bins and parking spaces for people with reduced mobility.
The meeting of the sidewalk with the causeway, in the pedestrian crossings, will be made by a ford without risers and so that there is no stagnation of water.
The estimated execution time is about two months and will be after its completion when work begins on the second stretch between the streets Don Pedro Jiménez and Doctor Fleming, which will be reformed all the way.
The work is part of the Regional Action Plan to Streamline Works and Municipal Services with an initial budget of 193,820.52 euros, of which 131,506.65 are contributed by the City of Jumilla and the rest by CARM.
