This morning, the regulatory bases for the granting of competitive subsidies in international cooperation matters have been unanimously approved in an extraordinary plenary session.
These are the norms for the realization of projects of social cooperation, humanitarian action and education to the development.
Two separate grant lines have been established.
One for local projects with which it intends to carry out actions of awareness and education in the municipality of Jumilla in order to create a conscience of solidarity and generate personal and social changes that enable fair international relations.
A second line for international projects aimed at meeting the basic needs of disadvantaged groups or areas in less developed countries, as well as carrying out emergency actions in cases of disasters that lead to humanitarian crises.
Some areas of action of local projects may be the promotion of values ​​of solidarity and cooperation, as well as the training of volunteers, the temporary reception of children from developing countries or the promotion of fair employment.
On the other hand, the credit supplement 1/2017 has been unanimously approved by which the salary of civil servants and labor of the City of Jumilla is increased by 1%.
