This morning has been presented the official departure of the Maroc Challenge in its winter edition, which will have Jumilla as the official venue of its departure on December 2.
In the press conference have been present the mayor, Juana Guardiola, Councilor for Sports, Juan Manuel García, the race director, Rui Cabaco, the head of assistance, Julio Tomás, as well as Antonio Tárraga and Miguel Soriano, representing Of the Club 4x4 Montesinos, organizer of the departure.
This is the fourth time that the city hosts the start of this test, although so far never had made the winter edition.
As they pointed out in the presentation, "we expect a participation that will be around the 130 teams, of which there will be one with Jumillano origin."
The expedition will also have 25 organization vehicles, of which four will be from Jumilla "for rescue and assistance".
The participating cars will arrive in Jumilla on the afternoon of Friday, December 1, which will be when the technical and administrative checks.
There will be a welcome wine at the Wine Museum.
On Saturday at 11.30 am the official departure will be made from the Paseo Lorenzo Guardiola.
In the afternoon, participants will embark to Morocco from the port of Motril.
The stages will be held from 3 to 8 December.
