The works to change the parquet floor of the Vico Theater will be finished at the end of the month with the objective that the events scheduled before the Fair and Festivals 2017 can be carried out.
The renovation began in early July and is progressing well with the placement of different phenolic boards with birch base.
Next, you will be given the appropriate non-slip treatment with what will remain in optimal conditions for use and with safety guarantees.
The Councilor for Culture, Pilar Martínez, recalled that the floorboard "has not been renewed for more than 26 years, specifically since 1991 and the maintenance carried out during the previous legislature was unfortunate, as it caused sanding a weakening of the boards and loss of consistency".
The cost of the renovation is 9,536 euros and is being carried out by companies specializing in this type of work.
During the last months, other maintenance activities have also been carried out in the Teatro Vico.
Drips and humidities were repaired in the hall of the stage and general area and, in addition, the black chamber and the center of lighting circuits were renovated.
