Two posters made by the 2nd elementary students of the Concert Center Cruz de Piedra have been awarded the first prize of the Contest 'Let's take care of the environment' organized by the City of Jumilla within the activities for the Day of the Environment.
They have received as a prize a check of 250 euros to spend on school material.
The murals have been titled "Take care-Take care of us", one is a planet Earth made with hands and another of a tree in which the students launch positive messages with different reasons why the environment should be taken care of.
The awards ceremony was held this morning at the Roque Baños Center with the presence of the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the Councilor for the Environment, Juan Gil.
About 400 children from six local schools participated.
The second prize, endowed with 150 euros, has been for 3 ° of Primary School Mariano Suárez for the poster titled "We are enchanted with the trees", a work with which the children of the center reflect the importance that the trees in the Environment.
The third prize, 100 euros, has been taken 3rd Prize of the College San Francisco, for the realization of a video entitled "Charco del Zorro", in which students explain the importance of this wetland and flora and fauna That dwells in it.
