The City Council of Jumilla has scheduled various activities to celebrate the World Environment Day that is celebrated on 5 June.
For this, talks, a guided tour, a contest, children's activities and a cleaning day have been prepared, to be held from June 2 to 6.
They have been presented this morning by the Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, the Councilor for the Environment, Juan Gil, accompanied by Isidro Sigüenza, representing Cranes and Containers (company that manages the Ecoparque) and Pedro Martinez, Sustainable Climbing Altiplano .
The mayor of Jumilla stressed that "the aim of these activities is to conserve and respect the environment, which is our future, and not only at this time, but throughout the year. The year, we continuously clean uncontrolled landfills and are recovering different natural spaces like the Fountain of Sopalmo.
For his part, Councilor for the Environment, Juan Gil, thanked the various collaborations that will be counted in order to carry out these days "such as Cranes and Containers, Grupo Hinneni and Stipa."

Cleaning of Solana de la Sierra del Buey "Return the natural color to the Sierra del Buey", with the collaboration of the Altiplano Sustainable Climbing Group, Waste Management Cranes and Contenders, Grupo Hinneni de Jumilla, EspeleoCarche, Yecla Hiking Club, Mountain Club of Yecla, and directed to the adult citizenship.

Children and Youth Festival of creative activities.
