The Government Board has approved the adhesion of the City of Jumilla to the plenary agreement of the City of Villena to urge the Ministry of Public Works to urgently carry out the necessary procedures and allocate the necessary resources to conclude the construction of the highway A-33, which will connect the A-31 to the A-35, variant of Font de la Figuera.
It has been agreed to authorize the professor of Prehistory and Archeology of the UNED, Alberto Mingo, to excavate in the Sierra de la Hermana de Jumilla, specifically in the place known as El Abrigo del Monje, within the research project that is being carried out called 'The transition from the Epipaleolithic to the Neolithic in Jumilla: settlement, material culture and paleoenvironment'.
The works will be carried out from the 10 to the 21 of July and will be accompanied by several students.
Also they will use the dependencies of the section of Archeology of the Museum Jerónimo Molina and the annexed dependencies in the hermitage of San José.
Other agreements
The Governing Board has initiated the administrative files for the recruitment of auxiliary services to attend visitors in the Office of Tourism, Castle and museums.
Also begins the file for contract of services of concierge and control of access in municipal buildings.
It authorizes the diversion of the public roads of Casa Castillo, Cuesta de los Jinetes, Dehesilla to the Castle House and plot in Estrecho Marín.
The subsidy for 2016 has been justified by the Fuente del Pino Third Age Club, the Jumillana Fibromyalgia Association and the Spanish Red Cross Local Committee in Jumilla.
