The Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the Councilor for Culture, Pilar Martínez, presented this morning the activities of the second edition of the Night of Museums, held on 20 May.
The Archeology, Ethnography and Nature Sciences sections of the Jerónimo Molina Museum, as well as the Craftsman's House will be free admission and will remain open until 1 am.
The day will begin with didactic activities related to the Iberian and Roman world to be held from 11.30 to 13.30 in the Plaza de Arriba.
At 12.00 hours, there will also be children's activity in the Ermita Third District Center with Nuria Malvado's 'You'll Have to Go to the Forest'.
The afternoon will begin with guided tour of the museums and Casa del Artesano, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Then the Cultural Association Hypnos will perform a recital of Andalusian poetry with Arabic lute on the terrace of the Archaeological.
Throughout the afternoon, Casa del Artesano will offer demonstrations of artisan techniques and exhibition of lightpainting by Antonio Martínez.
At 22.00 hours, in the Ethnographic Museum, there will be concert of chamber groups of the Professional Conservatory of Music.
The night will close 'Al golpe', with a concert in the Archaeological Museum from 23.30.
Juana Guardiola said: "We are joining for the second year the commemoration of the International Museum Day, held on May 18. In Jumilla we have collections of great international importance and extraordinary museums."
For his part, Pilar Martínez, added that: "Given the good acceptance of last year, we decided to strengthen the event with new acts such as the inclusion of children's activities."
