The local government will bring to the ordinary plenary meeting of May a new proposal for lowering the Tax on Urban Real Estate (IBI).
This is a reduction of 4%, which would be requested from the Directorate General of the Cadastre and that would be effective in the receipts of 2018. The modification is possible by the application of the coefficient of updating, which for the municipality of Jumilla is 0 , 96%, given that the cadastral values are, on average, above 50% of the market value.
Councilor Alfonso Pulido said: "This proposal will save the citizens' pockets of € 203,070. Our intention is to continue to strive to reduce taxes as much as possible, as we must maintain and improve services".
If the lowering of the receipt is approved will join the 3% bonus that went ahead in November 2015 and the 3% by direct debit, both in force since last year, which has to join another 0.9% per The CPI update.
"With this new proposal we would reach a 10.9% reduction of this tax in the current legislature," says Pulido.
Also on the 2018 receipt will be benefited with a bonus the large families who requested it during the present 2017, which is when they entered into force changes to the ordinance of the IBI approved last year.
In this case affects about 500 families that will have a reduction of between 15% and 90% depending on the value of their home and whether they are general or special category.
