The Department of Tourism has included the City of Jumilla as a place to visit also on weekends.
The historic building, built in the sixteenth century and housing municipal offices since the nineteenth, will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.30 to 13.30 hours.
"This way the tourists will also be able to enjoy an emblematic place in our city as it is the Consistorial House", indicated the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola.
Tourism offers during the year different guided tours, most of them free of charge.
For 2017 there are four planned to the Old Town, of which remain to be held two, specifically on June 18 and November 12.
They last for two hours, starting from the Teatro Vico.
Also free of charge are the three guided visits to the Castle scheduled for this year, to be held on 10 September, 8 October and 10 December, with a bus service from the Tourist Office.
For June 10 a guided visit to the Convent of Santa Ana is planned with entrance to the chapel, the museum and the orchard for 1 euro and an hour.
On November 28 will be held the Don Juan Tenorio theatrical visit, free of charge, starting at the Teatro Vico and ending at the Cemetery.
There is also an annual sacred guided tour, which includes for 2 euros entrance to the Church of Santiago and the Museum of Jesus Nazareno.
All dates, times and details can be consulted in the brochures in the Tourist Office, which can be downloaded from the municipal website.
Registration is recommended with time, since they tend to occupy all places.
The last Sunday (Casco Antiguo) had visitors from Monforte, Alcantarilla, Murcia, Cartagena, Elda and Jumilla.
Apart from these organized visits, there are options of visits by groups, so you have to contact the Tourist Office.
