The number of unemployed in Jumilla has fallen for the third consecutive month, with an accumulated decrease of 308 less unemployed.
April closed with 186 unemployed less than the previous month and 448 less than the same month a year ago.
In interannual terms, unemployment has fallen by 448 people since April 2016 (2,551 unemployed) to April 2017 (2,103 unemployed).
This decrease of 186 people has been slightly more pronounced in women, with a total of 97 unemployed less compared to men with 89 casualties.
The Councilor for Economy and Employment, Juan Gil Mira, has described these data as positive for employment in Jumilla.
"We hope that the trend will be kept down. We must also work to improve the precariousness of much of the existing employment with a national policy that is more just in terms of remuneration," he said.
By ages youth unemployment remains relatively low, barely 9.70%, the largest group being over 45 years old with 48.50% of the total unemployed and with 41.80% the group of 25 To 44 years.
It should be noted that job creation focuses on the first two groups, ie young people and those under 45 years of age, increasing unemployment in those over 45 who account for almost half of all unemployed.
By economic sectors, the service sector is once again the one that brings together a greater number of unemployed to 48.22% of the total, where the bulk of female unemployment is concentrated, followed by agriculture with 19.40%.
