The City Council of Jumilla is carrying out in the last days different works of maintenance in the Vico Theater.
Several leaks were being repaired that existed in the hall of the area of ​​boxes and of general, that had caused dampness in the walls.
Several roof canals were repaired which were in poor condition and obstructed by lack of cleaning.
Likewise, it is acting on downspouts and affected walls through repainting, as well as the insulation of some small windows that had leaks when it rains hard.
The area affected in all cases was in the hall, with no problems in the area of ​​spectators.
The works are being carried out with municipal personnel.
The Councilor for Culture, Pilar Martinez, has stated that "it has been the lack of maintenance of the building in recent years that has caused these flaws."
In addition, he said that in July, the wooden floor of the stage will be changed "that is in poor condition and a few years ago suffered an unfortunate repair."
All this is coupled with the renovation already made months ago of the black camera and the center of lighting circuits.
