The City Council of Jumilla has tripled in three years the economic amount destined to subsidize the groups and associations with social aims.
This year will be allocated 115,000 euros, while the figure for 2014 was 41,000 euros, similar to the previous two years.
In 2017, a total of 55,000 euros will be allocated to registered grants, as approved in the Municipal Budget, while 60,000 euros will be distributed by competitive bidding, according to proposals submitted by different associations for non-profit social purposes.
The criterion to follow will be the one that marks the bases that were approved in the plenary of the month of April and whose main novelty is the establishment of two lines of subsidy, since the applicant associations present very different projects both in their purpose and in the beneficiaries To which they are directed.
One of the lines will be aimed at associations whose projects are aimed at promoting and revitalizing the association and other projects aimed at improving the quality of life of certain groups that present socio-health problems.
