Carmen García Frago, the general director of Fondos Agrarios, met last Friday with goat farmers in Jumilla, to inform them about the withholding of aid from the Community Agricultural Policy (CAP) of 2016 and the most important developments in the face of Aid of 2017.
Jumilla has 94 sheep and goat farmers and a total census of 33,877 animals, whose production exceeds 6 million liters of milk annually, which report more than 4 million euros.
The amount of aid received by the municipality is around 6 million euros, of which more than 200,000 euros have been earmarked exclusively for sheep and goat farmers as associated aid.
García Frago reiterated the commitment of the Ministry with the sector "in order to resolve doubts and facilitate the management of these grants, for which 1,556 applications have been received."
