Aguas de Jumilla, in coordination with the Department of Education of the City of Jumilla, takes to the schools of the municipality Aqualogía Program, with talks about the saving and good use of water, focused on Primary students.
The Councilor for Education, Salvi Pérez and the manager of Aguas de Jumilla, Manuel Rayo, along with the director of the Concerted Cross Stone Center have officially presented the program this morning.
The schools Cruz de Piedra and Carmen Conde have already enjoyed this morning of the first talks.
A total of 60 students from 6th grade Primary have been the first beneficiaries of the activity, which will be extended to other educational centers the next course, included as part of the activities organized on environmental issues.
Through active, digital and participative learning, Aqualogía aims to raise awareness of the importance of caring for the environment, facing the challenges of an intelligent, healthy and sustainable future.
During the session, which lasts approximately one hour, games and experiments with water are developed, in order to discover the keys to their consumption and to know the distribution network.
In this way, the primary schools of the municipality will reinforce knowledge about the Urban Water Cycle, through interactive videos, by the hand of Aqualogia characters, to work out what uses of water are made in the school, how the Water to our homes or what treatments we must do to be able to drink it or to return it to the natural environment.
The students will have the opportunity to perform experiments that teach them the different methods used in the purification plants to clean the water (decantation, filtration, flocculation ...), how to analyze drinking water, how to measure salinity, what to perform chlorine analysis Or why measure the pH of water.
