A new project of Science City visits this Friday Jumilla, this time the second session of 'For a society free of machista violence'.
It will be at the Concert Center Cruz de Piedra from 11.30 hours, by Concepción Castrillo and Ana Vicente, from the Group of Contemporary Socio-Cultural Studies of the UCM.
The objective of this project is to provide the youth population (14-18 years) with tools to identify gender violence in its different manifestations.
In this way it is intended to contribute to raise awareness of a phenomenon that, far from being a private matter, constitutes a social problem with structural roots.
This project is also a proposal for analysis and research.
The data collected during the meeting will help to continue working on the cultures and practices of youth, relationships and gender violence.
This session will specifically work on gender violence through dynamics and practical examples on the following contents:
-What is gender violence and why we do not talk about domestic violence.
-Marcos of interpretation: (in) tolerance and (in) visibility of the different gender violence.
-Types of gender violence: sexual, physical, psychological and economic.
-Examples in which it is exercised: family, work, social-community and couple.
